The National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Electrical and Electronic Engineering (China University of Mining and Technology) Convened the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Teaching Advisory Committee

On the morning of June 6, 2025, the 2024 Annual Meeting of the Teaching Advisory Committee for the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Electrical and Electronic Engineering (China University of Mining and Technology) was held in Room A311 of the School of Information and Control Engineering.

All committee members attended the meeting, including: Professor Wang Shujuan, Director of the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Harbin Institute of Technology; Professor Hu Renjie from the Electrical and Electronic Experiment Center at Southeast University; Professor Shu Guohua, Executive Deputy Director of the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University; Professor Wang Kaiyu, Director of the National Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center for Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Dalian University of Technology; Senior Engineer Wang Haibo, General Manager of the Changzhou Research Institute of China Coal Technology and Engineering Group; Professor Wang Xuesong, Dean of the School of Information and Control Engineering at CUMT; and Professor Li Ming, former Director of the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Electrical and Electronic Engineering at CUMT. Also present at the meeting were Professor Liu Hai, Deputy Dean of the School and current Director of the Center, heads of academic departments, and several faculty members of the Center.

Dean Wang Xuesong first delivered a welcome address, extending warm congratulations on the convening of the meeting on behalf of all faculty and students of the school. She earnestly invited the attending experts to offer their valuable insights and strong support for the Center’s future development.

The committee unanimously elected Professor Wang Shujuan from Harbin Institute of Technology as the chair of the meeting to preside over the proceedings. Professor Liu Hai, Director of the Center, then delivered the 2024 Annual Work Report on behalf of the Center. The report comprehensively reviewed the Center’s core achievements over the past year, focusing on five aspects: general overview, teaching and talent cultivation, teaching reform and scientific research, demonstrative impact, and future development planning.

After careful deliberation, the committee members fully endorsed the achievements of the Center over the past year, affirming its outstanding performance in teaching innovation, talent development, research, and national demonstrative influence. The members also provided constructive suggestions on areas such as the systematic design of experimental teaching, deep integration of industry-university-research collaboration, and interdisciplinary innovation.

On the afternoon of June 6, Professor Wang Shujuan, a nationally recognized teaching master from Harbin Institute of Technology, was invited to deliver a keynote lecture titled “Fostering and Applying for the National Teaching Achievement Award.” Drawing upon her extensive experience in teaching research, pedagogical reform, and multiple successful applications for the National Teaching Achievement Award, Professor Wang gave a systematic and in-depth presentation. The participating faculty members found the lecture highly inspiring, gaining deeper understanding of the essence of teaching achievements and greater clarity on the pathways and strategies for cultivating and applying for such awards. The session significantly enhanced their confidence in pursuing high-quality educational outcomes in the future.
